Our Maxi sessions are designed for children aged 7-10 years and focus on teamwork, creativity, and confidence-building through drama.

We begin with our Sharing Circle, where the children share news—whether from around the world or something personal from their week. We also take a moment to reflect on what we’re thankful for and what we’ve done that day to make us feel proud.

After that, we jump into fun games before splitting into groups to create and perform a short drama piece to share with the rest of the class.

This is where the Maxis start to understand the importance of both performing and being an audience member. They learn to work as a team, take turns, and support each other. After each performance, the audience gives constructive feedback—What worked well? What could they improve if they performed it again? How could they make it even better?

Our Maxi sessions encourage:
Teamwork – Collaborating and sharing ideas
Speaking & Listening – Developing communication skills
Performance Skills – Gaining confidence on stage
Creativity – Bringing stories to life
Friendship – Making connections and supporting each other

Like our Mini sessions, the focus is on fun and creative drama, all while helping children grow in confidence and develop their speaking and listening skills.

By the time they become Maxis, children are able to work more independently as well as collaboratively—learning to listen, contribute, and bring everyone’s ideas together into an engaging performance.

Of course, just like in our Mini sessions, no one is ever forced to do anything they’re uncomfortable with. If a child prefers to stay behind the scenes, they can take on roles like director, producer, or scriptwriter! There’s always a way for everyone to be involved in a way that feels right for them.

Our Maxis also learn to appreciate and support others by being a thoughtful audience, watching their fellow performers and offering feedback. They discuss what they loved about a piece and suggest ideas for making it even better next time.

Most importantly, our Maxi sessions provide a space where every child feels safe to be themselves. The support and encouragement they show one another is truly inspiring! 🤩

“When children are given the freedom to be creative and their imaginations are nurtured, it builds their confidence and self-esteem. The skills they develop through drama will serve them well in school, future careers, and life!”
